Sarapurah
Customer Service and Administration
Sarapurah, 29 is a fluent English speaker with exceptional customer service and administration skills. She began her career in 2002 as a receptionist for an apartment building in Dubai. Over the next 5 years she worked in sales and telemarketing, with English as her first language. In 2008, she became a Senior Debt Collector for a large commercial bank. Her responsibilities included supervising and training junior staff. Since coming to Australia, Sarapurah has worked casually in data entry and administration for a healthcare peak body.
ALI
Warehousing
Ali, 27 is well presented and speaks English fluently. He began his career as an intern for a civil engineering NGO in Liberia. In 2006, he became a Warehouse Manager and Store Keeper responsible for managing supplies and construction materials for an American Aid Organisation. During this time, Ali also volunteered as a Software Trainer for the YMCA, instructing students in Microsoft Office applications. Ali came to Australia in 2009 and is currently studying Warehousing and Logistics at Victoria University. He is also undertaking an ASSET work experience program at a cafe supplies warehouse in Collingwood.
NADEEM
Cleaning, Kitchen Hand
Nadeem, 32 has an enthusiastic personality and speaks good English. He began work back in 2001 as a Food Transport Driver, transporting fresh produce from rural areas to capital cities in Africa. His work included heavy lifting, cleaning and maintaining stock and inventory. He later worked as a Butler for a High Commission in Kuala Lumpur. Here his responsibilities involved cleaning, laundry, and organizing large dining events - all to meticulous standards. Nadeem came to Australian in 2008. He completed a Food Handling Certificate and has recently undertaken an ASSET Work Experience program at a community kitchen.

Asylum Seeker Resource Centre

ASSET is an initiative of the Asyum Seeker Resource Centre.
Since opening its doors in June 2001, the ASRC has become the largest provider of aid, advocacy and health services for asylum seekers in Australia. Working directly with asylum seekers, both living in our community and detention, to provide direct aid and support as they seek refugee status in Australia.
